I like putting SY! on DB/MS sin bars, its basically free there. I'd replace res sig on Sin variant #1 With SY!

Pretty pointless when you already have an imbagon in the party.

It was left out for the same reason we always left out Necromancers and Mesmers. It's just not worth it. Hexes only shine when they last their full (or close to their full) duration. For Asuran Scan specifically to be worth using, you would have to be spending more than five seconds killing each individual foe. That means it'll only really be useful for the first foe attacked after the engagement of a group; after that, everything will collapse in less then five seconds of being targeted.
Asuran Scan is good if you are bad. That's why so many people use it.

Oh, say what you will. 175% damage on every other enemy is still a hell of a lot better than some half-assed (*-ranged) interrupt. And nobody's forcing you to Hex every foe you encounter, I heard sustained AoE is nice.
BTW your argument doesn't stand when dealing with boss-level meanies (eg lasting longer than 5 seconds... or do they? )

[empty] over [disrupting dagger], then?
We may just have different experiences though. Doing Deep runs (ugh) my guild runs Cryway, which means I often get to hunt stragglers. [asuran scan][black mantis thrust] is hard to pass up in this scenario, trust me. >.<

Actually, yes. But people tend to bitch too much about that sort of stuff, so it's best to leave it there and let them be content. It's a nice net to catch you if your team is bad, at the very least.
By the way Cryway is shit tell your guild to stop sucking for me, thanks. Wouldn't want them coming to Guru and crying their eyes out when ArenaNet gets around to killing the build, now would we? :3

Well i would discuss some stuff about the builds but after seeing 3 pages of arrogance and defensiveness over your "top sekret awesome stuffs" i think i'm going to pass and leave with this comment - This is simply standard well known builds posted by a standard well known guild (or ex guild for that matter). Looking forward to seeing your QQ posts now.

@faer
y do u continue to insult my english after i said i was not tryin to be offensive
and even apologised to u
wut more do u want
if u cant take criticism
then dont post builds
simple as that
@fenix
rite im bad at gw because i believe that the standard ms/db is 10x better than his modified ms/db
and im here because i like to learn
but im sowrie...
this thread has taught me nuthin except that ppl can be asses
if u want to set this build in stone as perfection
then u refuse to think there is better
and if u think that ppl r criticizing this so called "perfect build" because they suck at gw
makes u wonder who is really good at gw and who isnt
edit: oh and i jus noticed that faer posted a variant to the sin build now
if i really do suck at gw
then y did faer himself posted a variant following almost exactly wut i said to do
take out disrupting stab and res sig
add disrupting dagger
and disrupting dagger is not even sumptin id really do in most cases either
i only mentioned it because its a way better interupt than stab
but if did want to bring an interupt, that would be one of the few viable ones to bring
personally i'd go wit wut bobby2 said
asuran scan is nice dmg
and 5s recharge isnt that big of a deal
plus plus plus it synergises wit assassins promise
if u didnt use assassins promise
asuran scan would be more likely to be removed from the bar
u do realize that being the only hex on the team
monster ai prioritize removing conditions/hexes
sometimes they remove it jus as fast as they will cry of frustration a skill
and we all kno wut goldy reflexes the ai has with interrupts
one last edit:
i also noticed he now has gdw on his midline caster bars now
really im terrible at gw to call out that hes missing gdw in my first post
and now he edits it in
again
id jus like to remind you
that i do not think this build is bad
i repeat, this build is not bad
i jus think that it is not new
and that there is room for improvement
so to all of those that think this build is perfection
plz do refrain from insulting or flaming
i do not mean to offend

Possibly my choice of words too. Amusing, but no.

Cool [agro] team-up amirite.
Pro-tip: Believe it or not builds like AP monk are gud. Less cryway, tank'n'spank, etc is gud.

Knew some smart ass would comment on cry way - well if you can even get within 30mins of the times we've got i might actually take your post seriously. until then, like your little bum buddies here i'm just gona have to ignore your post. Like Faer has been doing to the poor fellow who decides he wants to type in shorthand.

I really don't see how any of his builds are an improvement to the versions he took and modified, seems more like a desperate attempt for recognition in making a ton of bad builds requiring 8 human players to achieve, instead of taking heroes that can handle the same mindless jobs and take infinitely less time to set up (this goes for general pve, and as for elite areas and so it's really arrogant to just say oh this is the general template to complete all elite areas just need to fix a few skills here and there and it's the best build ever. should probably try the builds that are already out there that are built for the specific places they're meant for, and you'll see that the adequate utility in those builds can achieve a faster time than this "curbstomp" nonsense). I mean, you can be innovative and try new things, but to post something like this to discredit other builds that work better as if you have something to prove is pretty lols.

These kind of comments are probably worse than most of the flaming ones, fanboys like these clearly haven't done anything serious in pve and, having nothing to contribute, decide to appeal to some vain egotist on here to look "badass". Nice joke, move along.

I'm struggling to see the point in this build.
Quote:
(Vanquishing Pwnsaucer, Eternal <Elite Place> Finishing Badass, Guardian of African AIDS Babies, or whatever else you can think of that I missed (sans those silly 4 or 6 player missions that are a walk through the daisies anyway))
|
1) They added heroes to the game for a reason. With these magical creatures, you can easily vanquish, "pwnsaucer" and "guardian of african AIDS babies", if not on your own then with a friend. This leaves Elite areas.
2) Other builds do every elite area much faster and better.
3) Finding 6-8 people with the correct professions that wants to do that particular thing at the same time kinda fails. This is especially true when it can be done alone or with a friend, greatly reducing team forming time and probably not slowing down the actual event down once you get in.
